Ice Dogs 16AA in the Hockey Hall of Fame
New Market, ON: The Hatfield Ice Dogs Midget 16AA Blue squad traveled across the border into Canada, Jan 13-15, 2012, to compete in the International Silver Stick Minor Finals. The Ice Dogs won 6 straight games including an overtime thriller in the Championship game to hoist the "Silver Stick". The team defeated Arvada Storm(CO), Toledo Cherokee (OH), Stoneycreek Warriors (Ontario, Canada) in the preliminary round. The elimination rounds saw victories over Orlando Jr Knights (FL) and Farmington Hills Fire (MI). The Championship would be see 16AA Blue and the Oakland Jr Grizzlies (MI) battle for precious metal. The Ice Dogs scored first and held a 1-0 lead for most of the game. The Grizzlies scored in the 3rd period and regulation time ended 1-1. A few minutes into the OT, a Grizzlie turnover came to Corey Mackin who skated in on the goalie and converted on his breakaway, sealing the title for the Ice Dogs first ever Silver Stick Championship! Each year, after all the Silver Stick Finals Tournaments are completed, a plaque is placed in the Hall of Fame display case listing the team names of all the Champions for that year.

Ice Dogs 16AA Blue dominates Philly SS
The 16AA Blue team ripped through the competition at the 2011 Philadelphia Silver Stick Regional. The Dogs went undefeated and outscored their opponents 39-4, posting impressive shutouts in the Semifinal and Championship games.
Congratulations Boys! And best of luck at the Silver Stick Finals in New Market, Ontario in January!

AAA Bauer International Invite Champions!
The Midget Minor AA Blue team traveled to the windy city, winning 7 straight games to capture the AAA division title. Along the way, the boys defeated the Rochester(MI) Rattlers, Arizona Runners, NJ Avalanche AAA - American, NW Chargers (IL) in the round robin games. The Ice Dogs met the Lansing (MI) Capitals AAA in the quarterfinals, posting a convincing 4-0 victory. In the semifinal game, the Farmington Hills (MI) Fire would meet a similar fate, as the Ice Dogs prevailed 6-1. The 7th game of the weekend was an interesting affair, with the Ice Dogs falling behind early 2-0 to the Flint(MI) Phantoms. But the team was confident and fought back to tie the game on goals by Jaquay (2) and Patullo. The 3rd period of the game began tied 3-3 and DeLaurentis blasted in a slapshot for their first lead of the game. The boys then held on for a 4-3 Championship victory.
